Dana Abi Ghanem

University of Manchester

Current Position:

Research Fellow

Role at Tyndall:

I am working at Tyndall Manchester on the FP7 funded project: Active Distribution networks with full integration of Demand and distributed energy RESourceS (ADDRESS). My work on this project, with Dr. Sarah Mander and other partners in Europe, looks at user engagement and adoption of active demand management technologies and principles. This is approached from a sociology of practice perspective and developments in Science and Technology Studies.

Research Interests:

Prior to joining Tyndall Centre, I worked as a research associate at Imperial College Business School and Manchester Architecture Research Centre, University of Manchester. My research focuses on better understanding the co-evolution of technology and society, with a particular interest in the diffusion of new and renewable energy technologies and the complex relationships that emerge among designers, users, organisations and policy makers.
