Marisa is a Lecturer in Climate Change, researching and teaching on topics related to adaptation to environmental change and international development, water security and management of water resources, livelihoods and resilience.

Research Interests
Current research: climate change, human security and conflict; adaptation and resilience to climate change; water resource management institutions; impacts of climate change on human and water security in internationally shared river basins (River Nile and River Niger). Marisa's PhD: Livelihood diversification, social capital and resilience to climate variability amongst natural resource dependent societies in Uganda.
